Instead of immediately explaining the content of Quality Assessment Report it is better to describe a bit regarding what Quality Assessment Report is all about and the AEC professionals who develop it. Quality assessment report is generally developed by architects, engineers and modelers with the cooperation of project manager after reviewing and analyzing design documentation and data related to construction and operations by performing Quality Control Program.  This report verifies that necessary quality check is effectively performed by design and construction professionals for building design which is basically represented through two different forms one is through drawings and another is through 3D parametric models. Quality check is also performed for schedules and hence information related to its successful accomplishment is also contained within Quality Assessment Report.

Information accommodated within Quality Assessment Report

  • The quality assessment report is developed by the staff of service providing after the successful accomplishment of BIM modeling services which are hired by clients.
  • This report clearly describes the BIM standards followed by modelers during the development of multidiscipline models and to what extent they are followed.
  • The report states that the BIM models required by clients have been developed with required level of details.
  • Schedules developed with the support of BIM models have been checked out properly for their accuracy.
  • That means schedules are modified based on the identification of time based clashes.
  • The Quality Assessment Report also states that element interferences or collisions between building elements of different models have been significantly reduced or curtailed by AEC professionals before the accomplishment of modeling project.
  • It is also stated in the report that technical criteria required for the development of parametric models for architecture, structure and MEP have been successfully fulfilled by AEC professionals.
  • The predetermined Building Information Modeling standards have been successfully implemented by BIM modelers during the execution of Revit modeling services.
  • And last but not least the parametric information which was circulated among different design development teams during the development of 3D models has been used successfully.

The Quality Assessment Report assures that AEC professionals have effectively carried out quality check for building design and for other related construction services.
